Overview
Mighty Networks is a SaaS company offering an all-in-one platform for creators and brands to build online communities, host courses, and sell memberships under their own brand. In 2025, Mighty went through a brand refresh, which served as the perfect time to start completely fresh on their marketing site as well. Along with an updated look and feel, I created a design system for the new site to create clarity for developers and reduce design debt.
My Role
User Interface: Look and feel, design for all screens and modules, build and maintenance of design system
Art Direction: Oversaw creation of static and animated assets from junior designers and motion designers
All Systems Go
A major pain point when making updates to our previous website was that it had become a bit of a Frankenstein’s monster in terms of styles, components and general cohesiveness. For many years, any new pages were treated as custom developments, resulting in discrepancies across the site that we were constantly trying to catch and rectify.
Building a design system while designing this new site allowed for future website additions and changes move more quickly, with less questions from developers, and more consistency across the board.
Product Showcase
A major piece of the Mighty website is showcasing the actual product. As part of the brand refresh, we developed a series of faux communities in order to illustrate all the different ways the software can be used. This entailed creating graphics to mimic the real, vibrant communities that live on Mighty Networks, including assets for activity feeds, events, courses and more. I also storyboarded specific product screens and partnered with a motion designer to bring them to life in key areas across the website.
